World Language and Culture:
Chinese (Mandarin) (Grades K–12)
The World Language and Culture: Chinese (Mandarin) (Grades K–12) examination includes two subtests. Candidates must take and pass both subtests to qualify for a Minnesota license in this field. Passing this test satisfies the testing requirement for both the K–12 license and the K–8 endorsement.

- Subtest 1: 1 interpretive listening assignment, 1 interpretive reading assignment, 1 language acquisition assignment, 1 language structures assignment, 1 cultural understanding assignment
- Subtest 2: 2 presentational writing assignments, 2 presentational speaking assignments
- Subtest 1: 120 minutes
- Subtest 2: 90 minutes
