Directions for Listening Comprehension Questions
The first section of this test (questions 1–24) contains multiple-choice questions that involve listening to an audio recording. Each question will be presented in three parts.
First, you will hear the question number. When you hear the number, you should refer to the corresponding question.
Next, there will be a 20-second pause during which you should familiarize yourself with the question.
Finally, you will hear a listening passage. Listen carefully to the passage. Unless otherwise indicated, each listening passage will be read twice.
After the listening passage, select the best response to the question presented.
For the practice questions that follow, a written transcript of the audio recording has been provided. Note that on the actual test, the transcript will not appear. Instead, examinees will listen to audio recordings. During the test the recordings cannot be stopped nor can any section be replayed.
